As a variety duo attempts to revive their act, they are forced to confront their shared history revealing a moving exploration of identity, resilience, and the complex bonds between parents and children. As their act fractures and reforms, a hidden family story emerges — one shaped by love, constraint, and the struggle to be heard.
Warm, funny and deeply human, the piece explores the journey of a learning-disabled man finding his voice.
Co-created and performed by learning-disabled and non-learning-disabled artists, It’s A Wonderful Us is full of humour, heart, personality and unexpected moments.
Written and directed by Fringe First and The Stage award winning writer and director, Steve Gilroy.
