🎭 IS IGNORANCE BLISS?The 2026 Brain-Based Short Play Festival
Although my daughter is off to college, I cherish those moments when we’re still able to write together. And this time, we both have plays in Irvine Theatre Company’s short play festival!
Collette wrote Metathesiophobia, a story about a mother and daughter navigating identity, acceptance, and family expectations.
I wrote How May I Help You?, a comedy inspired by the personalities of today’s leading AI models. What happens when we turn to AI for answers to life’s biggest dilemmas? And should we really trust the advice? 🤣
Our plays are two of six original short plays exploring the things we choose to ignore, the truths we avoid, and the questions we don’t always want answered.
Thank you, Irvine Theatre Company, for giving us the opportunity to grow as writers and for allowing us to be part of your world. We’re excited to see our words brought to life on stage!
