About this Event
Join us for a reading and conversation on Tuesday October 6th with Micheal O'Siadhail, Ireland's leading poet. For over 50 years, his lyrical mediations have captured relationships between humanity and nature, despair and faith, and courage and healing. This evening he will read from his newest book The Essential Poems, which brings together selected works from throughout his career. The event will also feature poetry themes of immigration and exile and will culminate with a reading of Ireland America 252 - a poem commissioned by the Irish America 250 organisation to commemorate the anniversity of American Independence.
This event is free and open to the public. Event will be preceded by a 30 minute reception. Audience Q&A will follow.
