About this Event
Monthly Momentum Session is part social event, part monthly reset. It's a chance to meet other ambitious Chicagoans, take an honest look at the month behind you, and get clear about what you're actually going to do next.
We'll start with open networking and conversation, then break into small groups of 4 to 6 for a guided experience built around the .
What we'll work through:
Wins & Losses of the Previous Month
What went well? What didn't? What did you learn? Where did you make progress, and where have you been getting in your own way?
Goals for the Month Ahead
Identify 1 to 3 concrete things that would actually move the needle over the next few weeks.
Your North Star Goal
Zoom out. What is the bigger thing you're ultimately trying to build, change, accomplish, or become? Are the things taking up your time actually moving you toward it?
Daily Affirmation
Put into words something you want to remember about yourself, your intentions, or the way you plan to approach what comes next.
And most importantly, you'll talk about all of it with other people.
Because a goal feels different once it isn't private anymore.
The small-group format is designed to create conversations that rarely happen at traditional networking events. You'll learn what people are working toward, what they're building, where they're stuck, and where you might genuinely be able to help each other.
Once the structured portion ends, we'll open the room back up so you can keep talking with the people you actually want to know better.
What the night looks like:
Arrival + open networking
Meet people, grab a drink, settle in.
Intentional small-group conversation
We'll break into groups of 4 to 6 and use a few prompts to get past the usual name, job title, small-talk routine.
Reflect on the previous month, define what matters next, reconnect it to your North Star Goal, and say it out loud.
Open networking
Stick around, continue the conversations, make introductions, exchange information, or just meet more people.
You'll leave with:
- A clearer picture of what worked and what didn't over the last month
- 1 to 3 meaningful goals for the month ahead
- A stronger connection between your day-to-day work and the bigger thing you're pursuing
- Commitments that no longer exist only in your head
- Several new people you actually had a substantive conversation with
- A firsthand look at the method behind PactPodz
You do not need to be a PactPodz member to attend.
You do not need to own a business, have a five-year plan, or arrive with your life figured out either.
Just bring something real you're trying to move forward.
What is ?
PactPodz is a daily accountability and professional connection community for self-directed people.
Members are placed into small Pods of 4 to 5 real people who meet on camera on weekday mornings for a short Daily Momentum Session.
The structure is simple. You talk through your Wins/Losses Since Last Session, say your Daily Commitments out loud, reconnect with your North Star Goal, and repeat your Daily Affirmation.
Then everyone comes back again.
There is no facilitator running the daily session. The structure runs itself. The point is having other real people who know what you're trying to do and who will be there again tomorrow.
PactPodz is built around a simple idea:
If it stays in your head, it stays optional.
Monthly Momentum Sessions bring that philosophy into the real world and give more people a chance to experience it together.
Who is this for?
This tends to attract founders, freelancers, creatives, agents, remote professionals, coaches, independent workers, people building side projects, and generally anyone responsible for directing a meaningful part of their own life.
You don't need to fit a particular job title.
If there's something you keep saying you want to do, build, change, finish, start, or get serious about, you'll have something to bring to the room.
Who is this probably not for?
This isn't a lecture where you sit in the back and consume information.
You'll be talking to people. You'll be asked what you're working toward. You'll have to think about what actually happened over the last month and say what you intend to do next.
Nothing requires oversharing, but participation is the point.
If you're looking for a completely passive event, this probably isn't it.
FAQ
Do I need to be a PactPodz member?
No, it's designed to work as a standalone experience even if you never join PactPodz.
Can I come alone?
Absolutely. The format is built for it. We'll put everyone into small groups, so you won't need to arrive knowing anyone.
Do I need to have a business or professional goal?
No. Your goals can be professional, creative, financial, personal, health-related, or something else entirely. What matters is that it's something you genuinely want to move forward.
Do I need to know my goals before I arrive?
No. Part of the exercise is figuring out what actually deserves your attention next.
Is this a networking event?
Yes, but the networking happens through the experience rather than being the entire experience. You'll spend enough time with a small group to learn what people actually care about and what they're working on before the room opens back up for general networking.
What happens during a normal PactPodz Daily Momentum Session?
Pods of 4 to 5 meet online on weekday mornings. Members talk through Wins/Losses Since Last Session, make their Daily Commitments, reconnect with their North Star Goal, and say their Daily Affirmation. The format is short, structured, and designed to run without a facilitator.
Do the same people meet every day?
Members spend a rotation with their Pod before Pods eventually reshuffle. That gives people enough repeated contact to actually know one another while gradually building relationships throughout the wider community.
What time are the weekday PactPodz sessions?
PactPodz offers morning session options, with availability depending on current Pods and membership. You can see current options when exploring membership.
Does this event cost anything?
The Monthly Momentum Session is free. Ongoing PactPodz membership is separate and is not required to attend this event.
Is this going to turn into a sales presentation?
No. I'll explain what PactPodz is because the event uses the PactPodz Momentum Method, and anyone interested can learn more afterward. The actual event is the experience you came for.
What should I bring?
Bring yourself and something you're trying to move forward. We'll provide the structure.
