About this Event
Have you ever wanted to sit down at a potter’s wheel and create something beautiful? Designed specifically for absolute beginners, this six week course guides you step-by-step through the tactile journey of clay—from a raw, muddy lump to a beautiful, functional pot you can actually use.
This course will cover:
- Week 1–2: Finding Your Center. Master the fundamentals of wedging clay, getting it perfectly centered on the wheel, and pulling your first walls into cylinders and bowls.
- Week 3–4: Shaping & Trimming. Learn the art of trimming to carve elegant "foot rings" on the bottom of your pots, attach handles, and refine your shapes.
- Week 5: The Magic of Glazing. Discover how to apply colorful glazes to your bisque-fired pieces.
- Week 6: The Grand Reveal. Unload the final glaze kiln together, celebrate your finished creations, and share feedback in a relaxed, supportive group celebration.
