About this Event
The Introduction to on-road cycling course covers the essentials of safe on-road cycling, with lots of quality practice time to build on-road confidence.
The course will take place in quiet locations using roads, shared-use paths and designated cycle lanes. The session will gradually build your confidence cycling on the road and in traffic.
What to bring
Please bring your own bicycle* and helmet, and wear comfortable clothes for the activity. You may wish to bring some water or snacks too.
*The bicycle must be in working order. If you have a bike which you think needs a bit of TLC, please bring it along to the Wee Spoke Hub (before the training day) for a free assessment of your bike. We cannot make repairs on the day of the session.
If you plan to use a hired bicycle (e.g., Voi bike), please let us know in advance: [email protected]
Meeting point location
Please note the start location will be the Meadows / Sciennes (i.e., not the Wee Spoke Hub). The meeting point will be communicated to participants by email 1-3 days in advance of the course. If you do not hear from us, please email [email protected]
