About this Event
Discover a new hobby, one stitch at a time.
Come along to a relaxed, beginner-friendly knitting workshop where you’ll learn the foundations of knitting in a friendly and supportive environment. Whether you’ve always wanted to try knitting or are simply looking for a new creative hobby, this workshop will guide you through the basics at a comfortable pace.
You’ll learn the four essential steps to getting started with knitting:
- Cast on – Learn how to get your yarn onto the needle and prepare to start your project.
- Knit stitch – Master the basic knit stitch and begin to see your knitting take shape.
- Purl stitch – Discover the purl stitch and how it creates texture and variety in your knitting.
- Cast off – Learn how to finish your work neatly and secure your stitches.
By the end of the workshop, you’ll have a basic understanding of these essential techniques, the confidence to continue practising at home, and the foundations to explore more knitting projects in the future.
What’s included?
Each workshop kit includes yarn to get you started, along with guidance and support throughout the session.
Knitting needles are NOT included in the standard kit, but you can add a suitable set when booking. If you already have your own 10mm needles, simply bring them along!
Who is it for?
This workshop is perfect for complete beginners, curious creatives and anyone looking to slow down, learn something new and enjoy the satisfaction of making something by hand.
No previous experience is needed – just bring your curiosity and a willingness to give it a go!
