In this introduction to falconry session, you will learn about the ancient art of Falconry from expert falconer, Zack Bohn, from Hawks & Hounds Falconry. Zack will cover the history and basics of falconry including husbandry, training, equipment, diet and hunting tactics. Zack will have several birds of prey with him, possibly including his Eurasian eagle owl, Harris hawk and kestrel, and visitors will get to learn about his unique relationship with each of them. The exact selection of birds will depend on their availability that day.
Session includes Q&A, cider donuts and warm apple cider.
