About this Event
This 90-minute introductory session is for anyone curious about meditation, and for those interested in learning more about the ten-day residential meditation Courses in Vipassana as taught by S.N. Goenka. (These ten-day courses are offered throughout the year, free of charge, at two UK centres and at other centres worldwide).
Anapana meditation is a technique for calming and concentrating the mind. It is practised by observing the natural breath as it comes in and goes out. It is a practical tool that improves focus and helps cope with everyday pressures. (Anapana meditation is the initial technique taught during ten-day courses before the main technique of Vipassana meditation is practised).
The introductory session will be supported by a teacher, along with video and audio recordings by S.N. Goenka. We will conclude with light refreshments and an opportunity to ask questions and then chat informally with our volunteers and the teacher.
As spaces are limited, please book your free place through this page.
