Hosted by Missouri River Relief
In this talk, Zack Miller will introduce The Nature Conservancy's Missouri River Center for Conservation Innovation in Boone County, MO, and explore how collaborative conservation can help shape the future of the Big Muddy.
Topics will include site and area cultural and natural history, agroforestry as a tool for resilient floodplain agriculture, wetland restoration for habitat and water quality, expanding public access to the river, and the potential for immersive, place-based programming in partnership with Missouri River Relief.
The presentation highlights how partnerships and community engagement can deliver lasting benefits for communities — human and non-human alike — along the Big Muddy.
