Intro to Traditional Mexican Medicine and Rebozo history, to reconnect and reclaim our ancestral ways of healing
About this Event

We will learn the differences between what is a true indigenous rebozo vs. a colonial rebozo; which are clear and proven. We will learn the medicinal vs. spiritual use of the rebozo, as well as non-invasive techniques, and other techniques that require a broad knowledge of the body's anatomy. As well as your emotional and physiological state.

The training that will be provided will sensitize us all to use ancestral and traditional therapies with respect, honor and free of cultural appropriation:

PLEASE NOTE - this class is fluid and is meant to be driven by both the instructor and attendees. Below are some topics that may be addressed but it not a comprehensive list.*

IMPORTANT - All are welcome to this event, but it will be centering BIPOC communities. If this context doesn't feel like a good fit, then this workshop may not be for you.

Reciprocity-Based Registration

This workshop uses a reciprocity-based registration model. Everyone receives the same training, materials, and hands-on instruction regardless of the registration level selected.

The different rates are intended to make the training accessible while also recognizing that accessibility must be sustainable for the person providing the work.

Community Access — $180 early bird (regular $225)
For participants experiencing a meaningful financial barrier. This limited early-access rate is available through October 18. If this rate is financially accessible to you, I invite you to choose Community support or above.

Community Supported — $250
For participants who need some financial flexibility but are able to contribute more than the Community Access rate.

Sustainable Value — $300
This is the rate that allows this workshop to be offered sustainably. It reflects not only the hours of instruction, but also the preparation, materials, travel from Ohio, transportation, lodging, meals, and the time required to bring this training to another community.

Community Sustainer — $350
For participants who have greater financial capacity and would like to contribute beyond the Sustainable Value. This helps offset Community Access registrations and supports my ability to continue bringing this work to other communities.

Scholarship sponsor $400. This level is for participants who would like their registration to directly help another person access the training.

For every Scholarship Sponsor registration, a partial scholarship will be made available to someone who otherwise could not afford to attend.

How the Reciprocity Model Works
