About this Event
In this introductory seminar, Sports Basement staffer Shawn Gage will share the unique rewards of snow camping and provide the essential resources you need to prepare. Come ready to learn, and enjoy coffee and breakfast snacks on us!
This session will provide an overview of key topics to consider when snow camping such as:
- Leveraging your three season gear for snow camping
- Navigation and wilderness safety
- Special gear needs for snow camping
- Health and medical considerations for snow camping
While this morning session won't quite give you all the skills and experience to head out into the snow on your own just yet, it is the perfect first step! Our goal today is to introduce you to the wonderful world of snow camping and inspire you to take that next step. We highly encourage you to keep learning by seeking out hands-on training or guided trips through incredible organizations like the Sierra Club, NOLS, and yes, even Sports Basement!
The seminar is about 90 minutes, with 30 minutes for Q&A after.
Hope to see you there!💚
