About this Event
A additional stretch of the River Thames has been opened up following the creation of the new "Super Sewer" and this walk will explore the "Bazelgette Embankment".
We will then head up towards Fleet Street to look at some former newspaper buildings before heading into two of the "Inns of Court" where barristers do their training.
Further parts of the Thames Embankment, and some of the many statues of famous people therein, will be explored before finishing up at 2, Temple Place, an "Architectural Gem" built in 1895 by William Waldorf Astor who was then the richest American in the world.
Start: Foyer of Blackfriars Station (underground and mainline) on the NORTH bank of the river Thames.
The proceeds from this walks will go to the homeless charity The Connection at St Martin's
