Influx is collaborating with The Downbeat & Plant Based Productions to celebrate 9 whole years of the Influx dance collective and we want you on the dance floor with us! ✨
INFLUX9 is a celebration of movement, music, self expression and the community that has grown with and around Influx since it began in 2017. What started as a desire to see more bodies, identities and styles of movement represented on stage has grown into a family of dancers, DJs, flow artists, festival stages, friendships, collaborations and community.
What makes this night extra special? Our dancers ARE our DJs, joined by special guest and longtime friend of Influx, Space Tiger.

🍑 TWERKSHOP 🍑
At 10:30 PM we’re making room on the dance floor for a fun, beginner friendly twerkshop hosted by Jennay, Pearl + Julie.
Before we shake it we want to honour where this dance comes from. Twerking has deep roots in West African dance traditions, with movements that long predate the word “twerk” and its mainstream popularity. We dance with appreciation and respect for the communities and cultures that shaped it.
Jump in and learn some moves, dance along, watch, cheer people on or just soak it all in. There’s no pressure to participate. Do what feels good for YOU. This is about having fun in your body, not performing for anyone else.
Whether you’ve been part of our fam since the early days, danced beside us at festivals, supported us from the crowd, collaborated with us along the way, or you’re discovering Influx for the first time, you’re invited.
