Every day is Indigenous Peoples Day, and it ain’t over!
Urban Indigenous Collective returns for its Third Annual Indigenous People’s Day Event, bringing Indigenous People’s Day into the night with a celebration of Indigenous music, culture, art, community, and resistance. Join us in Brooklyn, as we partner with the Please Space Studio and Cobblestone Labs Immersive Experiences as we recreate what New York City looked like before colonization, in other words, a glimpse into the real Lenapehoking.
Following the day’s National Indigenous Peoples' Day of America Parade and taking place alongside the Horizons: Perspectives on Psychedelics conference weekend, the evening creates a bridge between Indigenous communities and the growing psychedelic and plant medicine movement—while centering the people, cultures, knowledge, and traditions that have stewarded sacred medicines for generations.
From 8 PM to 2 AM, experience a night of Indigenous DJs, live music, cultural performances, dancing, art, vendors, and community, featuring Native and Indigenous artists representing communities from across the Americas—from the North, to the Caribbean, and to the Global South.
This is NYC’s premiere gathering of cultures, generations, and communities. A space to celebrate Indigenous people not simply through our history, but as living, evolving cultures shaping music, art, wellness, resistance, and movements today.
Proceeds from the evening support Urban Indigenous Collective, an NYC-based nonprofit providing culturally grounded mental health, wellness, and community services for urban Native Americans throughout the tri-state area.
