📅 Wednesday, November 25th
🕢 7:45 PM – 10:30 PM
🚪 Doors Open @ 7:45 PM
🎬 Program Starts @ 8 PM-ish
Join The Great Film Club for a special evening celebrating Indigenous storytelling, creativity, culture, and filmmaking!
In recognition of Native American Heritage Month, we're bringing together a collection of short films that highlight the voices, perspectives, and experiences of Indigenous filmmakers and communities.
From powerful documentaries and personal narratives to experimental cinema, animation, comedy, and compelling works of fiction, Indigenous Cinema Night is dedicated to showcasing the diversity and richness of Indigenous storytelling.
We'll screen approximately two hours of independent short films, followed by a community mixer where audiences and filmmakers can connect, exchange ideas, and celebrate cinema together.
All are welcome! Whether you're a filmmaker, film enthusiast, or someone looking to discover new stories and perspectives, we invite you to experience an evening of meaningful cinema and community.
🎥 SUBMIT YOUR SHORT FILM
We are currently accepting short films created by Indigenous, Native American, First Nations, Alaska Native, Native Hawaiian, and other Indigenous filmmakers from around the world.
We welcome films across all genres, including:
- Narrative fiction, drama, and comedy
- Documentary and personal storytelling
- Animation and experimental filmmaking
- Horror, science fiction, and fantasy
- Films exploring identity, community, culture, history, contemporary life, and Indigenous experiences
Indigenous filmmakers are encouraged to submit stories of all kinds. Films do not need to center on Indigenous identity or cultural themes to be considered.
Submission Guidelines
- We strongly encourage submissions to be under 10 minutes.
- Exceptional films between 10–20 minutes may still be considered.
- 🚫 No films over 20 minutes will be accepted.
- Films that are offensive, inappropriate, exploitative, or lack artistic integrity will not be considered.
We welcome filmmakers of all experience levels and encourage authentic, original storytelling!
