One Night Only! Indie Spotlight is taking over The Pilot’s Stealth Lounge on Sunday, May 31st! Five killer local bands - Matthew Holtby, Willie James, That Boy Running, Fat Mob & Berner Trail - are bringing the energy for one epic night of live music you don’t want to miss.

Matthew Holtby
Matthew Holtby has been capturing the attention of listeners across Ontario and beyond with his blend of Americana and Folk-Pop. Originally from Oshawa, Ontario, Holtby now resides in Warkworth, a picturesque town known for its vibrant arts community.

That Boy Running
That Boy Dancing is a high-energy rock and pop band inspired by the sounds of the ’60s and ’70s, with a heavy dose of funk thrown into the mix. Built on groovy rhythms, big melodies, and an obsession with having a good time, their music is all about movement, connection, and letting loose. More than anything, they just want to dance, and get everyone else dancing with them too.

Fat Mob
Fat Mob was spawned by the late, great, Chris Reed. He has left this world to bring his creative brilliance to The Great Gig in the Sky. However, His spirit and music live on here. The new line up of 'Fat Mob' will continue to perform Chris's songs. This incarnation consists of members from 3 of Chris's former bands:
- Exitseekers
- The Reed Effect (With his brother, Kirk)
And of course...
- Fat Mob

Berner Trail
Berner Trail are a Scarborough-born, Toronto-based rock trio. The group was started in 2015 by guitarist/singer/songwriter Spencer Desilva and drummer Aaron Lusch. The line-up was solidified in 2020 with the addition of bassist/vocalist Nate Murray. Berner Trail are a rock band that writes and plays with passion. The true goal of art is not to be boastful or self-important, but to be something that others can relate to on a real level.
