Come join me on Thursday, October 22nd from 7 to 9pm at the Hotel Victoria, Mosaic Room, for a closing auction evening for In the Hours of Light, a 52-week analogue film series I shot entirely inside Allan Gardens Conservatory.
Every week for a full year, I brought my film camera into the conservatory. All the film was kept undeveloped until the very end of the year. The result is a collection of 27 framed prints documenting the plant life there across changing seasons and light. Pieces range from small intimate prints to large statement works, with framed sizes from 16×21 inches up to 31×43 inches.
The evening features a silent auction of the full collection, plus live bidding on a few larger statement pieces. Appetizers will be served. If you leave with a piece, I'll wrap it for you along with a certificate of authenticity.
Before the night, every ticket holder receives a digital catalogue with each piece, its size as it hangs on the wall, and its story. So you can browse ahead of time, see what might fit your space or make the perfect Christmas gift, and come ready.
Your $25 ticket includes a $25 bid credit toward any piece you win.
