Josh is the 3rd generation in his family to win an AFL Premiership. The dynasty started with his grandfather John, whose name was used for the recently built Hawthorn HQ the 'Kennedy Centre' and who was known for his staunch Catholic faith just as much as his football success.
That grounding helped Josh not only follow in his footsteps, but also Captain the Sydney Swans and finish his 290 game career as one of the most successful midfielders of the modern era.
