'In The Air Between' is a multimedia installation exhibit that combines my previous explorations into Chaos Theory and Existentialism (our existence in the natural world). Included in that exploration are my deep-seated pacifist beliefs. This installation occupies a temporary room that I built inside the smART Space and it encompasses drawing, painting, sculpture, video projection and sound.
Join me for the opening reception on Friday Nov. 13th from 5pm-7:30pm at the smART Space, 312 Mitchell St., downtown Kinston.
Light refreshments will be provided.
If you are unable to make the opening, the exhibit will be available the next day, Saturday from 10am-1pm after that by appointment. Please contact me here or by emailing [email protected].
About My Work & Influences:
My primary art practice is multimedia conceptual installation.
I'm most interested in social, environmental and cultural ideas.
My personal experiences often inform my work. As a third-culture kid I lived in Peru, El Salvador, Japan, United States, Italy and The Netherlands.
While touching on the stories and topics that surround our lives, I hope that my work sparks conversation.
*This project was supported by the North Carolina Arts Council, a division of the Department of Natural and Cultural Resources.*
