About this Event
Discover the art of French pastry in this hands-on choux pastry class! Working in pairs, you’ll learn how to make choux dough from scratch, from cooking the dough on the stove to incorporating eggs and piping the perfect shapes. With step-by-step guidance, you’ll create classic éclairs and round choux pastries, learning the techniques that help ensure beautifully baked shells every time.
While your pastries bake, you’ll whip up vanilla chantilly cream for your éclairs as Chef Lina demonstrates how to make a coffee-infused caramel cream for your round choux. Then, you’ll split, fill, and finish your own pastries to take home and enjoy! You’ll leave with a box of freshly made éclairs and choux pastries.
No experience is required! We provide all the equipment and ingredients, and our classes are designed to be casual, fun, and instructive. Whether you’re an enthusiastic home cook who wants to participate in every step or a first-timer who prefers to observe, assist, and taste test, you’ll enjoy learning new techniques in a relaxed setting.
Please arrive 15 minutes early to allow time for parking and check-in. Street parking and several nearby parking lots are available, including a convenient lot at 157 Luckie St NW.
