About this Event
ON PURPOSE: AI
AI — Love It, Hate It Fear it?
12 October | 6.30–8.00pm | live & streamed | Islington Mill
In this first On Purpose conversation, we invite participating contributors to bring a perspective and/or position they currently hold on AI, while recognising that others will bring theirs as well. As we address ideas – e.g. regulation, responsibility, risk, creativity, innovation – the objective is to engage our critical faculties, question assumptions, remain curious and notice shifts in thinking. Participating contributors will be advised regarding what is desired within the space – willingness to listen actively and move from polarised, binary extremes; and what they are invited to leave outside – the intention to blame, educate, shame – and to avoid language habitually used to underpin those intentions and thus inhibit conversation. The goal is for us to embrace nuance and widen understanding where greater complexity emerges.
