In Conversation is a workshop series every Tuesday in October from 5-7pm at Creative Grounds in Downtown SB that does a deep dive into ekphrastic poetry. Each week, we'll learn something new about ekphrastic poetry, read and discuss both traditional and contemporary examples, and practice writing our own ekphrastic poems in alignment with the group show.Schedule
10/6: Ekphrasis 101: Ekphrasis as Bridge
10/13: How to enter an art piece/poem: Ekphrasis as Portal

10/27: Editing and traditional critique workshop
Learn about and practice ekphrastic poetry and participate in our group show In Conversation: Artists Respond to Gentrification.
