What Is Improv?
Improv is about getting out of your head and into the moment. Instead of worrying about the “right” thing to say, you’ll learn to listen, trust your instincts, and play with whatever happens next. You’ll learn how to create scenes from scratch and connect with people in a more spontaneous way.
And the best part? These skills aren’t just for the stage. Improv will help you feel more relaxed in conversations, more confident when you don’t know what to say, and more open to whatever life throws at you.
Meet Your Teachers: Lorenz von Römer & Stéphane Piette
We’re two engineers who fell in love with improv seven years ago. Fascinated by how improv helped us loosen up and connect more easily with others, we’ve been performing and teaching ever since.
With years of experience on stage and in the classroom, we’ve brought improv to audiences across Berlin and internationally in English, French, German, Italian, and Spanish. In 2023, we founded Check la Lage, a monthly show that brings together improvisers from different troupes, and were key members of Liber, a long-standing French-German improv troupe in Berlin.
Our approach is simple: Play. Experiment. Get out of your head.
We’ll provide fun exercises and simple improv techniques to help you get there.
