About this Event
Get Ready for Impossible But True!
--a rollicking evening of immersive theater and song brought to you by Brooklyn Tavern Theater. It's 1775 and word of the coming American Revolution arrives in a small village in the Catskills—but is it possible? Or just a crazy idea? Loosely following the story of Rip Van Winkle, a troupe of 9 actors and a pianist take us on a journey through the American Revolution seen from the point of view of Rip's village. There will be war, ghostly explorers, gnomes, flip and much more.
Join us at Fraunces Tavern for a special brunch edition of the show in the 250th year since the signing of the Declaration of Independence--in the same historic bar where General Washington bid his commanding officers farewell after the Revolutionary war! We will perform the entire show beginning at 1pm in the Piano Bar, with a brunch menu and live bar. Come early for seating and to order food!
