This training is great for anyone wanting to understand trauma or for yoga teachers wanting to support clientele with TIC.While our immersions are designed with yoga teachers in mind, everyone is welcome to join and will gain valuable insight from the experience.
Eunice Peterson, R.Psych., is a dedicated trauma integration specialist whose career centers on helping individuals, couples, and families navigate the complexities of trauma from both systemic and neurobiological perspectives. Her approach emphasizes holistic healing, considering the interplay of mind, emotions, body and soul. Peterson’s work involves addressing family of origin issues, maladaptive attachment strategies and residual trauma through a comprehensive lens. Additionally, she explores the integration of Trauma-informed care (TIC) principles into yoga teaching, drawing on concepts like Steven Porges’ Polyvagal Theory to facilitate nervous system regulation. With a strong focus on self-reflection and personal growth, Peterson advocates for trauma-informed yoga practices that empower students, foster trust, and provide reparative experiences for healing.
