Begin your Diwali with the timeless music and wisdom of Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj. Many of Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj’s beloved Abhangas, beautifully set to music by Pandit Hridaynath Mangeshkar, have been part of our lives for years. We have grown up listening to them on the radio, humming their melodies and feeling their profound emotion; even when the meaning of the centuries-old verses was not entirely clear to us.
What if we could experience these treasured compositions live, immerse ourselves in their devotional beauty, and also discover the deeper meaning and life wisdom behind the words?
The Calgary Marathi Association invites you to अजि सोनियाचा दिनु – दिवाळी पहाट, a special morning gathering that brings together soulful music, devotion and cultural heritage.
Through these timeless Abhangas, we will explore the thoughts and teachings of Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj and reflect on their enduring relevance in our lives today. In the midst of our busy routines, their wisdom offers a gentle reminder to pause, find balance, reflect and carry a little more calm into our everyday lives.
Join us for a meaningful start to the Diwali festivities: one filled with music, reflection and a renewed connection to our cultural roots.
