Illuminating Untold Stories: South Asian Voices
Celebrate Diwali with South Asian artists and cultural leaders Dr. Ashok Mathur, VP Research and Dean of Graduate Studies at OCAD University, and Dr. Remi Rana-Allen, visual artist, researcher and Academic at University of the Arts London (UAL), and Goldenberg Postdoctoral Fellow at OCAD University. Through a conversation on diasporic identity, storytelling, and belonging, they will explore how traditions, memories, and cultural narratives evolve across generations and geographies. Drawing on their experiences, they will reflect on the ways art can amplify underrepresented voices, foster connection across communities, and create space for dialogue, reflection, and a deeper understanding of our shared human experiences.
