IIHS Screens returns this October with an award-winning Dutch documentary film ‘Planet Soil’. The film explores the hidden world beneath our feet, revealing the complex and interconnected ecosystem that sustains life on Earth. It highlights the critical role of soil biodiversity in nutrient cycling, plant health, carbon storage, water regulation, and the overall sustainability of food systems.
Through the lens of science, agriculture, and society, Planet Soil encourages a deeper understanding of the relationship between healthy soils and resilient food systems.
Join the conversation after the screening to hear from Mark Verkerk, Director, who will be joining the discussion online, and Nirupama S, Lead – IIHS Media Lab.
