About this Event
🔭 An Unforgettable Evening Under the Stars for Curious Minds!
Join IgniteAstro at Rinconada Park for an evening of awe and discovery exploring our cosmic backyard.
Whether your child is obsessed with rockets and space or you simply want to experience the breathtaking beauty of Saturn's golden rings through high-power optics, this boutique workshop is designed specifically for families and young stargazers.
We are strictly capping ticket numbers to ensure generous, unhurried time at every eyepiece, no endless lines or rushed glances!
✨ What We’ll Be Exploring:
- 🌙 The Waxing Crescent Moon: Peer directly along the lunar terminator (the dynamic day/night boundary) where long shadows reveal towering mountain ridges and deep impact crater rims in vivid, 3D relief.
- 🪐 Saturn & Its Moons: View the undisputed jewel of the Solar System through high-magnification eyepieces. Catch crisp views of the planet’s majestic ring plane and pinpoint its giant, hazy moon, Titan.
- 🔭 Multiple Telescopes & Magnifications: Hop freely between wide-field views to close-up targets. Dedicated, steady stepstools are positioned at every tripod so even our youngest astronomers can view comfortably and safely.
🎟️ Ticket Options & Pricing
To maintain small group sizes and ensure personalized telescope turns:
- Family Pass ($40): Includes admission for up to 2 Adults + 1 Child.
- Single Attendee ($25): Admits 1 adult or solo stargazer.
(Space is limited to preserve high telescope-to-attendee access. Early booking is highly recommended!)
🧤 What to Bring & Practical Tips
- Dress Warmly in Layers: Evening temperatures drop quickly in November once the sun sets. Warm jackets, beanies, and comfortable closed-toe shoes are strongly recommended.
- Red Lights Welcome: To protect our dark-adapted night vision, we ask attendees to avoid bright white flashlights. Red-beam flashlights or glow sticks are welcome!
- Seating: Folding lawn chairs or warm picnic blankets are great to have while enjoying the night sky between telescope turns.
- All Ages Welcome: Designed especially for curious kids (ages 5+) and their families, with stepstools provided at each station.
