Idioteque returns to Peterborough's Gordon Best Theatre to celebrate the 25th anniversaries of 2 albums: KID A and AMNESIAC, plus plenty of bangers and deep cuts from other albums too!
Kid A (2000) and Amnesiac (2001) are often thought of as twin halves of the same musical statement. Radiohead was responding to the massive success of OK Computer by resisting another guitar-led rock album. They traded guitars for synthesizers and a “what does this button do” creative mentality. Overflowing with ideas, these sprawling experiments expanded into two genre redefining albums, released only 7 months apart, and shook up expectations of what Radiohead would do to follow up OK Computer.
Idioteque won’t play the full albums this time, but instead we’ll dive into this creative era and pull out many gems we’ve never performed before.
