About this Event
Who should you approach first? What can customer conversations tell you? What commitment would justify investing more time and money?
This hands-on workshop is for entrepreneurs exploring an idea, building a first product or navigating early sales. No sales background is required.
Using your own venture or a supplied fictional example, you will:
- Define a specific first customer, the problem they face, and your riskiest assumption.
- Explore what customers already do and what would give them a reason to switch.
- Write discovery questions about real experiences and buying decisions.
- Distinguish positive feedback from meaningful commitments, payment, and continued customer value.
- Design a focused 30-day test with a clear measure, decision rule, owner, and review date.
You will leave with a first-customer hypothesis, three discovery questions, an appropriate commitment to request, and a dated plan for your next customer test.
Bring an idea or a current customer challenge. The workshop includes three practical exercises and time for questions.
