FOCL presents Kevin YoungKevin Young is the poetry editor of The New Yorker and an award-winning author of more than 16 books of poetry and prose. His book Stones was shortlisted for the T.S. Eliot Prize, and his recent collection Night Watch: Poems was a New York Times Editors’ Choice. His children’s book Emile and the Field was named a New York Times Best Children’s Book. From 2021 to 2025, Young served as director of the Smithsonian’s National Museum of African American History and Culture.
