About this Event
Share your ideas. Make a difference in The Bronx.
Join the Bronx Council on the Arts (BCA) in our Flex Space (2700 East Tremont Avenue, Bronx, NY, 10461) for an Idea Generation Workshop on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM. In collaboration with the NYC Civic Engagement Commission (CEC), BCA is bringing the first phase of The People’s Money to The Bronx as part of the third cycle of New York City’s citywide participatory budgeting process.
Through The People’s Money, New Yorkers across the five boroughs will have the opportunity to help decide how $4 million in city funding will be spent on expense projects across NYC. During this Idea Generation Workshop, you’ll learn how the process works, talk about the needs and priorities of your community, and develop an idea for a program or service that could be considered for funding.
The workshop will include an introduction to participatory budgeting and the city budget, followed by individual and group activities to help participants develop and share their ideas. Ideas submitted during this phase will be reviewed as part of the People’s Money process and have the potential to advance to the public voting phase in Spring 2027.
Food and light refreshments will be provided. Space is limited to 25 participants. RSVP is required.
