What does it look like when young people take action for human rights?
Come and discover Move 4 Human Rights (M4HR), a program that brings together young people aged 18–30 to explore the human rights issues that matter to them and find creative ways to raise awareness, share their perspectives and promote human rights.
During the Open Day, you will be invited to explore an exhibition showcasing the work created by young people throughout the M4HR program, meet the participants behind the projects, and hear directly from them about the human rights issues they care about and how they have transformed their ideas into creative projects and actions.
Come by, explore the projects at your own pace and discover how young people are using their voices and creativity to promote human rights.
About Move 4 Human Rights
Move 4 Human Rights (M4HR) is an MDT program that brings together young people aged 18–30 to explore human rights, develop their own perspectives and take action on the issues they care about.
The program is delivered by a consortium of civil society organizations and educational institutions: Human Security Collective, Justice & Peace, Our Bodies Our Voice, Human Rights in the Pictures, De Haagse Hogeschool and Erasmus University College.
Through workshops, discussions and creative activities, participants learn about human rights, exchange ideas and connect global issues to their own experiences and communities. They then develop initiatives to share their perspectives, raise awareness and promote human rights.

The Hague is known worldwide as the "International City of Peace & Justice," and almost every monumental building in the city plays a role in building a more just and peaceful world.
From the Peace Palace to the Oranjehotel National Monument, the streets of The Hague breathe history! But what actually happens behind those grand doors every day? And how do people working in The Hague help make the world a better and fairer place? That's why the Just Peace Open Day is here to find out!
For one special Sunday in September, ahead of the International Day of Peace, Just Peace The Hague and more than 20 partners will open their doors to you for a look behind the scenes and to hear the stories of the people and history behind each institution.
If you are planning on visiting more organisations during the Just Peace Open Day, make sure to only book one session in a given time slot. Multiple bookings in the same time slot (at one or multiple organisations) made by the same individual will be cancelled.

Hoe ziet het eruit als jongeren in actie komen voor mensenrechten?
Kom kennismaken met Move 4 Human Rights (M4HR), een programma dat jongeren van 18 tot 30 jaar samenbrengt om mensenrechtenkwesties te verkennen die voor hen belangrijk zijn. Ze zoeken naar creatieve manieren om bewustzijn te creëren, hun perspectieven te delen en mensenrechten te bevorderen.
Tijdens de open dag kun je een tentoonstelling bekijken met werk dat door jongeren binnen het M4HR-programma is gemaakt. Ook kun je kennismaken met de deelnemers achter de projecten en rechtstreeks van hen horen welke mensenrechtenkwesties hen aan het hart gaan en hoe ze hun ideeën hebben omgezet in creatieve projecten en acties.
Kom langs, bekijk de projecten op je eigen tempo en ontdek hoe jongeren hun stem en creativiteit inzetten om mensenrechten te bevorderen.
Over Move 4 Human Rights
Move 4 Human Rights (M4HR) is een MDT-programma dat jongeren van 18 tot 30 jaar samenbrengt om zich te verdiepen in mensenrechten, hun eigen perspectieven te ontwikkelen en actie te ondernemen rond thema's die zij belangrijk vinden.
Het programma wordt uitgevoerd door een consortium van maatschappelijke organisaties en onderwijsinstellingen: Human Security Collective, Justice & Peace, Our Bodies Our Voice, Human Rights in the Pictures, De Haagse Hogeschool en Erasmus University College.
Via workshops, discussies en creatieve activiteiten leren deelnemers over mensenrechten, wisselen ze ideeën uit en leggen ze verbanden tussen wereldwijde kwesties en hun eigen ervaringen en gemeenschappen. Vervolgens ontwikkelen ze initiatieven om hun perspectieven te delen, bewustzijn te creëren en mensenrechten te bevorderen.
Just Peace Open Dag 2026
Den Haag staat wereldwijd bekend als de ‘Internationale Stad van Vrede & Recht’, en bijna elk monumentaal gebouw in de stad speelt een rol in het bouwen aan een rechtvaardiger en vreedzamer wereld.
Van het Vredespaleis tot het Nationaal Monument Oranjehotel, de straten van Den Haag ademen geschiedenis! Maar wat gebeurt er eigenlijk elke dag achter die grote deuren? En hoe helpen mensen die in Den Haag werken de wereld beter en eerlijker te maken? Daarom is er de Just Peace Open Dag om daar achter te komen!
Voor één speciale zondag, rond de Internationale Dag van de Vrede, in september openen Just Peace Den Haag en meer dan 20 partners hun deuren voor jou om een kijkje achter de schermen te nemen en verhalen te horen van de mensen en de geschiedenis van elke instelling.
Als je van plan bent om meerdere organisaties te bezoeken tijdens de Just Peace Open Dag, zorg er dan voor dat je slechts één sessie per tijdslot boekt. Meerdere boekingen in hetzelfde tijdslot (bij één of meerdere organisaties) door dezelfde persoon worden geannuleerd.
PrivacyverklaringThe Hague Humanity Hub verzamelt je naam, e-mailadres en (indien opgegeven) je organisatie wanneer je je registreert voor evenementen. Deze informatie wordt gebruikt om je deelname te beheren en je te informeren over toekomstige evenementen. Indien van toepassing verzamelen we ook je dieetwensen (bijvoorbeeld voor evenementen met catering) of je toestemming om onze nieuwsbrief te ontvangen. We delen je persoonlijke gegevens niet met andere organisaties zonder jouw uitdrukkelijke toestemming. Je gegevens worden veilig opgeslagen. Je hebt op elk moment het recht om je gegevens in te zien, te corrigeren of te laten verwijderen. We bewaren gegevens over evenementregistraties tot maximaal vijf jaar om trends in deelname te analyseren en onze programmering te verbeteren. Je kunt je op elk moment afmelden voor e-mailupdates of ervoor kiezen niet deel te nemen aan enquêtes.
