About this Event
This unique cleanup gives participants the opportunity to make a direct impact on the health of the Hutchinson River while experiencing the ecosystem up close. Volunteers will help clean the shoreline and also enter the river wearing waders to remove debris directly from the riverbed.
By removing litter from both the water and surrounding shoreline, we can help improve water quality, protect wildlife habitats, and prevent debris from traveling further downstream. Whether you are a returning volunteer or joining us for the first time, your help makes a real difference in restoring and protecting this important urban waterway.
Waders and boots are available to borrow, but supplies are limited. Please email [email protected] ahead of time to reserve equipment and include your shoe size so we can ensure proper gear is available for you.

~Parking is available.
~42 & 60 and a few other buses stop within a 5-10 minute walk to the location.
~We will provide gloves, grabbers, trash bags, and anything else required for invasive removal and trash collection as well as water and a light snack.
~Please purchase a ticket for everyone in your group so we have an accurate headcount.
