A writer's guide to using archives and libraries
About this Event

Join us for an afternoon of research and discovery as award-winning author Graeme Macrae Burnet discusses the archival and other kinds of research he carried out when writing his novels Benbecula and His Bloody Project.

The presentation is followed by two hands-on workshops led by library and archive staff, using the Mitchell Library’s archives and newspaper collections to research your own novel. We’ll share tips for exploring the library’s vast resources, from microfilm and bound newspapers to street maps and police records. Perfect for someone interested in how real-life events can inspire and shape your own writing . Age 16+

This workshop is part of our LKN exhibiton, Agatha Christie: A World of Mystery. In partnership with the British Library and Scottish Book Trust.
