How do you think capitalism will end?
In this playful workshop, we want to explore how the stories we hear about capitalism ending (or not ending...) shape how we live our lives. We hope it'll be cathartic, funny, and leave you with a new sense of what's possible!
You don't need to come with any knowledge of capitalism. We're trying to notice the stories we already carry and to give ourselves permission to imagine new ones, however messy or uncertain.
Here's how it'll go. We'll start by surfacing the stories we have in mind about how (or whether) capitalism ends, whether we believe them or not. Then, we'll each write our own story: not a prediction, but a personal glimpse of what it might feel like to live through some sort of transition, twenty years from now. You can keep your story to yourself or share it with the group!
The workshop is hosted by Apocalypse Pre-Drinks and Overgrow, two collectives who help you navigate late stage capitalism by connecting with other people over drinks, snacks, and big questions.
Registration for the event is free and light snacks will be provided. We'll be collecting donations at the end to cover the cost of the venue.
