About this Event
Please note: If this event reflects sold out, we will still accept walk-in attendees.
There are many reasons to start a business. For example, you have a particular skill or passion that you would like to share with others. However, it is very unlikely that you are wanting to start your business because you absolutely LOVE to sell things and that you are so good at it. Yet, one of the many hats that you are expected to wear as an entrepreneur is that of the sales manager and that of the top salesperson within your organization. If this idea scares you even just a little bit, then this workshop is for you.
In this workshop, you will learn the basics of the sales process and how to approach the task of selling in a way that is even agreeable to you. You will be taught to use a skillset that you already possess and use daily…the art of asking questions and then to simply listen. With the knowledge of the sales process and the method that is comfortable to you, you will be armed with the tools that will help your business succeed.
Dr. Shane Smith is a lifelong entrepreneur himself and has now taught over 3,000 students his sales techniques. But Shane was not always comfortable selling. In fact, he knew that he didn’t like to sell as early as elementary school when every year the school had a fundraiser. His poor mother always had to buy the candy bars, magazines, and wrapping paper so that he would not be embarrassed with no sales. Can you relate? But since then, Shane’s first job out of college was insurance sales. He still did not like it and could not sell the way that his sales managers wanted him to do. Instead, he found a process that worked for him and he not only became the top salesman in his company, but later became the VP and then President of that very firm. He has since geared his process to work specifically to the entrepreneur that is uncomfortable with selling. If this is you, then this workshop is perfect.
