On Friday the 30th of October , in collaboration with Sonic Futures, we are being joined by Musician and BBC Introducing North East Presenter- Shakk.
This workshop hosted at The Northern Studios tackles the issues that most people interviewing face, and how best to overcome them.
Most interviews fall apart for the same reason, you do loads of prep, write ten questions, and by minute six you’ve already used the good ones. This workshop is how best to avoid that. Focusing on:
- Researching properly (so you find the load bearing details, not trivia).
- Building a simple arc that gives the chat momentum.
- Using reliable follow up techniques that will help you to stay in control and in the moment.
You’ll leave with a prep template, different interview arcs you can reuse, and ready to use techniques so you can always think of the next question in the moment, even when a guest goes vague, or goes off on one.
