How Kids Learn: A Psychology Workshop for Curious Minds Hosted by Faculty and PhD Students in Psychology at the University of Denver
About this Event

Youth in grades 6-8, plus their parents and caregivers are invited to this exciting and hands-on workshop, where a door to the fascinating world of psychology will be opened! Led by Faculty and PhD students from the University of Denver, this interactive session explores the science behind how children learn and think.

Through fun demonstrations and engaging activities, we’ll bust common myths about the brain and learning, using real psychological science. Kids will walk away with a better understanding of how their minds work—and how to make learning even more effective and enjoyable.

What to Expect:

  • Myth-busting with science
  • Interactive experiments and games
  • A fun, supportive atmosphere for curious young minds

Whether your child is a budding scientist or just loves to ask “why,” this workshop is the perfect way to spark their interest in psychology and empower them as learners.

This is not a drop-off event. All children must be accompanied by a caregiver.

You do not have to be a Girl Scout to attend this interactive workshop!

The content and activities during this event are best suited for youth in grades 6-8.
