About this Event

We are delighted to partner with Tech UK(the UK's technology trade association) and professional investor associations Chartered Institute of Securities and Investment (CISI) and the CFA Society of the UK (CFA UK) for this Conversation on AI - focussed on what investors need to know. Building on progress in the fields of AI insurance, AI assurance and procurement of AI – what can investors adopt, adapt and acquire to ensure a more comprehensive understanding of legal, ethical, reputational and other risks.

A diverse range of expert speakers and panellists will introduce a range of sectors and perspectives, from evaluating the quality and rigour of AI systems, to how AI risk and liability can accrue and its relevance for investment outcomes. We will then move to a practical session - to enable every attendee to gain a clearer sense of how to take this forward in their own line of work - whether that is as a stewardship professional, a tech analyst, a portfolio manager, or an analyst of any corporate that is adopting AI at speed.

Adoption of AI is outpacing developments in explainability, transparency and responsibility and understanding AI assurance is no longer optional for investors. Whether conducting pre-investment due diligence or preparing a portfolio company for exit, the ability to evaluate AI maturity, identify red flags, and assess regulatory alignment is essential to making informed decisions and protecting investment value.
