The Pozole Bike Ride is about more than bikes and a bowl of pozole. It’s about community, family, culture, and bringing people together through our love for life on two wheels.Our mission is to support cycling in all its forms, introduce new people to the cycling community, and create a space where everyone feels welcome, regardless of what they ride, how fast they go, or how much experience they have. We believe cycling is more than a sport or a hobby. It’s a lifestyle that builds friendships, creates opportunities, and brings people from different backgrounds together.
We want to give back to the community that makes cycling what it is. That’s why we’re proud to bring everyone together for a free, family-friendly event filled with good food, performances, and good people. The pozole is our way of sharing something meaningful with the community and saying thank you for being part of it.
This year, we’re especially excited to bring the next generation into the cycling community with our Kids’ Bike Ride!
We’ll be hosting a special ride for children ages 10 and under, giving them the opportunity to ride a few blocks around the event in a fun, welcoming environment. We want kids to experience the joy of riding, build confidence on their bikes, and feel like they’re part of something bigger.
Every experienced cyclist was once a beginner. Every rider started somewhere. We want to make sure the next generation has a place to start, surrounded by a community that encourages them, supports them, and inspires them to keep riding.
Whether you’re a fixed-gear rider, a BMX rider, a mountain biker, a casual cyclist, a parent bringing your kids, or someone who simply loves good food and good company, there’s a place for you here.
We’re here to celebrate our culture, support one another, inspire the next generation, and remind everyone that the best part of cycling isn’t always how fast you ride or how far you go. Sometimes, it’s the people you meet and the community you build along the way.
