Sundried Apple Pie vs Seattle Wildfire
📅 Friday, 6 November | 6:30 PM
📍 Aura Studios, T Nagar
🎟️ Front row seats to the fight
Seattle Wildfire and Sundried Apple Pie have been fighting over jam rooms, practice slots and Joseph. We have been watching this brew for a while. As a production house helping build the music scene in Chennai, we cannot have young musicians fighting passive-aggressively between practice sessions. We need them fighting on stage so everyone can watch.
What you are getting
You get two bands that sound nothing alike in one night, playing a mix of covers and originals. Seattle Wildfire play sludgy grunge in the tradition of Alice in Chains and Superheaven, with songs about real emotions, isolation and the state of the world. Sundried Apple Pie play funk, RnB and fusion jazz, and their gigs feel like a jam that anyone can join.
Why this Friday
Diwali is two days later, so this is your last big night out before you go home to be a good kids. Get it out of your system here, and grab your front row seat before you leave.
Rules of the fight
- Covers are welcome. Originals are appreciated.
- Anyone who unplugs a cable will face the wrath of the sound guy.
- The venue has confirmed that popcorn is not allowed inside the studio😞
- We want a clean and fair fight. If you see something, say something, so we can all enjoy it together.
- Placing bets is illegal and gambling is a crime. The house keeps all side bets regardless of the outcome. We are House of T.
Seattle Wildfire (@seattlewildfireband)
Seattle Wildfire is a 4-piece grunge band from Chennai, formed in early 2024 and currently working on their debut EP. Drawing heavy inspiration from Alice in Chains and Superheaven, the band brings a sludgy, hard-hitting sound to their music while staying rooted in the spirit of grunge. Their songs explore themes of isolation, everyday emotions, and the state of the world around us, delivering raw and honest storytelling with every performance. Expect heavy riffs, introspective lyrics, and an unapologetic love for grunge... even if they listen to more pop music than anyone would expect.
Sundried Apple Pie (@sundriedapplepie)
Sundried Apple Pie brings a vibrant mix of funk, R&B and fusion jazz to the stage. Known for their groove-driven sound and lively performances, the band creates an experience that is equal parts soulful, energetic and fun. Drawing from a wide range of influences, Sundried Apple Pie blends smooth rhythms, rich melodies and improvisational flair into every set. Expect a carefully curated selection of favourites alongside original music that showcases the band's unique take on modern jazz and funk. Come ready to move, groove and be part of the jam.
