Join Anne Wanda Tessier (RYT500) for a deeply relaxing and nurturing Hot Stone Restorative Yoga Training. Learn about the history and benefits of this practice and find out how to sequence a restorative yoga class with the use of hot stones.
In this full day training, we will review various restorative poses which are ideal for placing hot stones as well as practice how to fully support the body and use props to ensure safety while placing stones. Explore how to use heated volcanic stones to help relax muscles, ground the body and provide comfort to your students.
You will learn how to set-up and clean up after a hot-stone restorative class and how to take care of the basalt stones and hot-stone heater. You will also obtain valuable insight on how to promote and manage hosting a hot stone restorative class for individuals, small groups and larger classes.
For those participating online, students will have the option to participate in a guided hot stone restorative class lead by Anne by either:
~ Practicing with partner at home (You will need your own heater and stones)
~ Practicing in the class without the stones or simply watch others practicing on-line
~ Practicing in the class with your own stones. (For training purposes, we will use warm water only)

~ 10 am ET to 4 pm ET
Cost: Early Bird SAVINGS before January 15, 2026, $245.00 per person, $275.00 per person thereafter.
A PDF manual and certificate will be provided to all students.
Note:
Students must have completed a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training, any discipline. Prior certification to teach yoga is a prerequisite for this course. For 200 hour certified Yoga Teachers the credits for this training are eligible for CEUs with Yoga Alliance.
This course is also part of our Yoga Alliance 300 Hour Hatha Yoga Teacher Training.

Location: PranaShanti Education Centre, 950 Gladstone Ave., 2nd Floor, Ottawa, Ontario, (Chinatown).
Our 3,000 square foot Education Centre offers a large open concept training area with high ceilings and an abundance of natural light and excellent ventilation. There is a kitchen with fridge, microwave, kettle and dishware. We have a dining area tables and chairs, 2 gender neutral bathrooms, lending library and our administration offices.
