ARMY CONSTRUCTION
To play at this event you must have a 2500 point Warhammer: The Horus Heresy army. Players may use any Liber, Journal Tactica, or Legacies of the Age of Darkness to construct their army. In addition to the normal rules players may not use the Warlord or Lords of War detachments. Players may also select one of the following Prime Advantages if they wish:
→ Unorthodox Tactician: May only be selected by a unit with Command sub-type. All units in a single auxiliary detachment in this character’s army may given the Line (1) or Vanguard (1) special rule.
→ Lord Executioner: This unit gains the Honour or Death (2) special rule. Honour or Death (x): this model gains victory points for winning challenges, or for enemies declining them. The amount of victory points gained is equal to the value of x.
→ Master of Logistics: May only be selected by a model with the Command sub-type. Once per game this army may attempt to deep strike one additional unit, or reroll a single failed reserves roll.
MISSIONS
Each table will have a bespoke mission and thematic terrain. Instead of the usual swiss pairings, there will be a three game round robin; each player will play on three different tables, against three different opponents. The missions will be revealed on the day and there will be extra time between rounds for players to read each mission.
MODELLING REQUIRMENTS
All miniatures must be fully assembled and painted to a battle ready standard. This means all areas of the miniature must be painted and details be picked out with appropriate colours. Proxies and conversions/kitbashes are allowed at the tournament organiser’s discretion. If you intend to use any proxies or converted/kitbashed miniatures please contact us before the event.
GLORIOUS VICTORY AND FABULOUS PRIZES
This event will be scored using the following three criteria:
→ Generalship
→ Painting
→ Sportsmanship
Players will earn points in each of these three categories by winning games, and getting peer voted painting and sportsmanship scores. There will also be an award for overall hobby which will comprise of the combined generalship, painting, and sportsmanship scores. Each winner will have the opportunity to select a prize from a prize table.
