Calgary Hope in the City returns on Thursday, November 12, kicking off The Salvation Army’s 2026 Christmas season of giving.Celebrate Grey Cup week with CFL Commissioner Stewart Johnston as our featured speaker, alongside returning emcee Tara Nelson, longtime reporter, producer and anchor with CTV Calgary.
For more than two decades, Gerry Wood’s generosity and leadership helped bring hope to individuals and families across Calgary. At this year’s Hope in the City Calgary, we will honour Gerry’s remarkable impact and celebrate the difference that community partners can make.
Funds raised at Hope in the City are used to support our year-round programs and services in Calgary, which help provide basic necessities, such as hot meals, Christmas hampers, food programs, summer camps, school supplies, toys, homelessness prevention programs, housing resources, and more.
