Hoop House Building

Join us as we winterize the hoop houses at our South Chicago Farm! We will be covering the hoop houses on-site with insulated plastic to allow for year-round growing.

Learn from our compost coordinator, Darion Crawford, to understand how this elongates the growing season and how it can be replicated on smaller scales.

Please come prepared in closed-toed shoes and clothes you don’t mind getting dirty. We hope to see you there!

All volunteers must sign our Liability, Theft, and Photo Release Waiver at least once per season: LINK

Please plan to arrive ten minutes early to check in at the Welcome Table. A UGC representative will greet you there!
