Christmas is coming…The Hoole Christmas lights switch on returns to Hoole Community Centre this year, with a family-focused event on Saturday 14th November starting at 12pm.
There will be lots for kids to do through the day, with an Elf Academy, Kids Quiz, Fire Pits for toasting marsh mellows, Santa’s grotto and even a post box to send your Christmas list to the real santa!
For the adults, there will be warm mulled wine, crisp beers, real ales and enough sausage to keep you going until advent. It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas!
You can also look forward to live music and entertainment, including local bands, choirs and a Christmas Jumper Parade that anyone can be part of…as long as they are wearing a Christmas jumper of course.
The lights will turn on around 5pm and then the party will continue late into the night at local pubs and restaurants. Adults will be issued with a wrist band on the Community Centre gate, which you can use to redeem special offers at participating Hoole businesses on Charles Street and Faulkner Street in the evening.
Please note, for the first hour (from 12pm until 1pm), the music will be quieter, the grotto will be calmer and the crafting activities will be designed for children who might struggle with bigger crowds or loud music.
Advance tickets are cheaper than on the day, so buy quick. The early-bird tickets are just £5 for adults and £3 for children – don’t forget that every penny goes towards keeping Hoole Christmas Lights up and on throughout the festive period.
Pre-book for a discounted rate! Ticket prices on the night are £6.00 per adult, £3.50 per child, Under 4's free.
