About this Event

GROF HOLOTROPIC BREATHWORK WORKSHOP
Saturday Feb. 21 & Optional Sunday February 22
This workshop is open for all interested ones, no matter if you have done this work before or not. During these intensive times, this work offers a powerful container for meeting our interiority, finding relief from current or past traumas, grounding in our core, releasing collective energies and what is not ours, spiritual awakening, opening to new textures of being, possibilities and much more.

You can attend just the breathwork on Saturday only or, attend Saturday and the Integration half day on Sunday, from 1:00 to 5 pm. (Highly recommended ! )

Grof Holotropic Breathwork is a method that uses the power of the breath, evocative music and focused release bodywork to facilitate personal and spiritual growth, healing, and self-discovery. It was developed by Dr. Stanislav Grof and Christina Grof, pioneers in the Transpersonal Psychology & Consciousness field.

This method offers an opportunity to journey into expanded states of consciousness, where participants can explore the depths of their inner world and psyche for healing, self inquiry, personal and collective transformation.

Holotropic Breathwork provides a means of self-exploration that can lead to lasting positive change in one's life.

You have two options to register :

Option 1 : Saturday Feb. 21 from 9:00 am to 8:30 pm only, which includes: a preparation video previous to the workshop, an optional zoom Q & A Friday evening -5 pm to 7 pm, an opening circle, two holotropic breathwork sessions (one as a breather and one as a sitter), mandala drawing, group sharing integration at the end of the day and an optional Integration call a week after the work shop. Participants will bring their own lunch and a soup and salad dinner will be provided.

Financial contribution: $350

Option 2 : Add the Sunday segment to your Saturday experience

from 1 pm to 5 pm to deepen, anchor and expand your work..

In the words of a previous participant: "Mireya masterfully creates a loving and supportive container for Holotropic Breathwork. I've attended her weekends multiple times, and each has been a profound experience. What makes her work so special is the emphasis on integration, which starts right after the session and continues the next day. This extra time was invaluable for me, helping me process my experience and bring the insights from my journey into my everyday life. I'm so grateful for the care Mireya puts into these transformative weekends."

Financial Contribution with Integration : $405

Certified Holotropic Breathwork Facilitators:

Mireya A. Marcet, MA. MFT, is a Mexican woman who has lived in California for the past 25 years and offers her work locally and internationally. She is an artist, expressive arts psychotherapist (graduated from CIIS in 2002), astrologer and Grof Holotropic Breathwork facilitator (since 1993). Her therapeutic and teaching work is informed by her experiences and training with “Curanderas” (medicine women) in Mexico as a social anthropologist, more than three decades of work with expanded states of consciousness, as well as the expressive arts, ceremonial practices and the astrological chart as tools for soul’s expression, healing and rebirthing.

She is the creator of “Altar Creation – A Canvas in Movement” a practice that offers diverse applications to connect with our interior life and the sacred through the creation of altars and a multimodal integration with them. She has also created a training, online and/or residential, for the Integration of expanded states of consciousness – an integrative practice weaving Holotropic Breathwork, expressive arts, sacred practices, mindfulness and work with the natural world.

She is an adjunct professor at the California Institute of Integral Studies in the expressive arts program and was a mentor for the Certificate in Psychedelic-Assisted Therapies and Research. Mireya strongly believes in the power of offering sacred, creative and permission giving environments to bring about personal, collective and spiritual transformation. She offers individual and group sessions, consultation and teaching online and in person in California and Mexico. Her website: www.almaquecanta.com

Cal Parrott . Cal began his interest and studies of human consciousness in 1974, after a near death experience that forced a change in his perspective of the world. In 1976 he was initiated into the Transcendental Meditation technique and for the next 2 years completed several advanced courses that culminated in a certification as Citizen Siddha. After an amicable divorce and the desire to work with the mother of his children to co-parent his son in a harmonious and beneficial way, he entered psychotherapy with the family counseling group Natural Learning Rhythms. NLR is a method of therapy that involves and includes the whole family.

Cal worked with NLR as a counselor for several years at their outdoor weeklong family camps. For the next 20 years he had the good fortune to practice the Taoist Mindful Meditation practice at his place of work as a self-employed master tofu maker. In the winter of 2008, after returning from a 3-month wandering retreat in India he found Holotropic Breathwork and the teachings of Stan Grof. In 2011, he was certified as a HB facilitator. Cal has been co-facilitating HB workshops and training modules in the U.S. and Mexico since that time. He is now semi-retired and lives in Mendocino County attempting gardening and foraging wild mushrooms.
